Powering your performance: How the EN 9100 certification underlines the quality promise of Varioprint AG

With the newly acquired EN 9100 certification, Varioprint AG is setting new standards in quality and reliability for its customers in the aerospace and defense industries.

Varioprint has many years of experience in the most complex industries and we recognise the high demands our customers place on our products and our quality management system. It is therefore a great pleasure to announce that we have now successfully achieved EN 9100 certification. EN 9100 is an internationally recognised standard in quality management and is specifically tailored to the requirements of the aviation, aerospace and defense industries. It is one of the most demanding, as it includes over 300 additional criteria compared to ISO 9001. This is further proof of Varioprint's commitment to excellence and uncompromising quality.

The successful certification is the result of our ambitious goals and the motivated work of our dedicated employees, who are constantly working to optimise and improve our processes. The implementation of the specific requirements of EN 9100, such as the detection and avoidance of foreign particles (FOD) and counterfeit parts, not only benefits customers in the aerospace and defense industry, but also clients from other sectors.

The EN 9100 series of standards provides the framework for comprehensive quality management systems for suppliers to the aerospace industry based on the general quality management standard according to ISO 9001:2015. They are technically equivalent to the SAE AS 9100 (America) and JISQ 9100 (Japan) standards.

What is certification in accordance with the EN 9100 standard and why is it important for Varioprint AG?
EN 9100 is a quality management standard that was developed for the aviation, aerospace and defense industries. It is based on the globally recognised ISO 9001 standard for quality management systems and includes an extension with additional requirements relating to safety and risk management. These requirements include traceability of hardware parts and data sources as well as risk assessment to ensure that all potential risks are recognised and addressed.

Compliance with the EN 9100 standards and other quality standards enables us to work even better with our customers and partners and fulfil their high requirements even more effectively.

We are already looking forward to working with our customers on exciting new and existing projects, from the initial idea to series production. True to our motto: ‘Powering your performance - from idea to value.’
