Registration, lamination and x-ray
To reliably produce highly complex multilayer and rigid-flex products, which can contain up to 30 layers, the material data collected is constantly adjusted against the correction and registration data within our fully automated inner layer production. This results in customised pressing processes for even the most complex construction or combination of materials.
Modern registration and press systems guarantee a minimal position offset even with thin cores and flexible materials. A wide variety of Teflon materials can also be pressed without prepreg (fusion bonding) by means of special high-temperature presses with a temperature profile up of to 350 °C. Furthermore, it allows the use of 3M adhesive and the implementation of non-acrylic material.
Ultramodern facilities such as laser direct imaging (LDI) systems, induction welding and X-ray drilling contribute to precise registration. The layers are stacked, optically registered and welded together without mechanical pressure. The position offset is determined by means of X-ray measurement and the material distortion transmitted individually for each panel to the mechanical follow-up processes.
High-quality products are the result.
